Description
The purpose of this project is to help the Town of Woody Point improve its asset management practice byproviding training to key employees and elected officials and develop an inventory of the municipality'smajor assets. The project will comprise two components:a) The Town will receive a training session for staff and elected officials on:- Getting started on Asset Management Planning- Preparing an inventory, reporting on the preliminary state of infrastructure- Communications and awareness of Asset Management.b) The Town will develop an inventory of the municipality's major assets including linear assets (roads,water distribution network, sewer network, storm network) and structures (buildings and water treatmentplant). Linear assets will be captured and set up in a GIS system. The data will be imported in a spreadsheetbased template so that Preliminary State of Infrastructure Reports are generated for each asset groupshowing life expectancy, condition and replacement costs. Condition assessment will mainly be based onage. This project is the first step in implementing asset management planning for the Town.
