Description
The Rural Municipality of Grayson No. 184 will implement an Asset Management software that will provide the steps necessary so the Municipality has a better understanding of it's assets. The Municipality willcatalog its existing assets, their costs, their expected performance and a timetable as to their replacement.This will provide the Municipality with a "tool" to better financially prepare the operation, purchase, and replacement of it's assets by providing a long-term plan. The Municipality will also train its staff on how to catalogue existing assets, physical inspections, input of data from asset Inspections, analyze, sort and then present this data to council. The overall goal is that staff will become part of the Asset Management team and work together with Council to ensure the best plans are made financially with respect to roads and equipment in the Rural Municipality. The following asset classes that will be impacted by this project are machinery, equipment, and infrastructure/roads.
