Description
The Village of Dunnottar will collect data that will identify the current financial and operational condition of the assets within the community. The Village’s focus will be on the organization and utilization of existing financial and public works records to evaluate the risk of deterioration of its current assets, which include roads, buildings, septic treatment facility, and equipment. Further determination to acquire improved information from external sources may well be needed.The Village of Dunnottar will compile a structured manual of information that will be the foundation for future asset management practices. The ability to move forward with formal policies and procedures pertaining to asset management will be possible once the appropriate evaluations of the Village assets are achieved. This project will begin the process towards the formation of an asset management plan that will allow the Village to focus its budgetary considerations on the promotion of the maintenance and improvement of itscommunity services.
