The MRC of Kamouraska wants to build a high-energy-performance building for the administrative requirements of the MRC and five other public organizations. This building, with an area of 1,800 m², is expected to achieve a design energy consumption reduction of 46% compared to the National Energy Code for Buildings (NECB) 2011. The new building will use various integrated energy sources and demonstrate a remarkable energy use intensity, incorporating innovative technology that recovers heat from the municipal wastewater system, vertical and horizontal geothermal loops and active and passive solar heating.
