Description
The GVRD's Century Urban Systems Plan supports regional growth management. The study will produce asustainability plan that uses the latest tools, methods and concepts for green infrastructure and energy planning. Thestudy will also make a significant contribution to the GVRD's new Sustainable Region Initiative. It will contribute toplanning for regional growth, transportation, waste management and recycling, air quality and drinking watermanagement. The plan will be included in Canada's submission to the 22nd World Gas Conference in Tokyo in 2003and entered into the meeting's competition for sustainable urban systems design for a major metropolitan area.
