Asset Management Upgrading
Description
"The Rural Municipality of Beaver River is seeking to upgrade from current tangible capital asset (PS3150) minimum reporting standard (via spreadsheet) to a sophisticated asset management program. The
municipality’s goal is to contract Northbound Planning Ltd. to perform asset condition reporting throughout
the RM to ensure that all assets are properly recorded and that the collected data is accurate. The RM
wishes to purchase the Pubworks program from Munisoft and have all data input by trained Munisoft staff.
Munisoft would assist in safeguarding RM asset data from any possible risk of loss. Once initial asset
data has been created, various office staff will be assigned to continue updating information such as
maintenance/repairs, purchases/sales of equipment etc. This will not only ensure all assets are kept up to
date moving forward, but will assist administration/council with the budgeting process and future capital
planning."
