Description
The District of Invermere will conduct the Athalmer Infrastructure Assessment and Investment Plan projectwhich will assess the existing water and sanitary sewer asset inventory, provide a risk assessment for eachinfrastructure asset (sanitary sewer and water) and propose an investment plan to provide the District withfeasible options to reduce the current servicing gap and help inform decision-making regarding themanagement of the community's water and sanitary sewer infrastructure assets, their risks and the financialinvestment needed. The Plan will identify the funding level needed to implement the Plan and to ensure theDistrict of Invermere's infrastructure continues to provide a high level of service for future generations.Athalmer, a neighbouring area within the District of Invermere, consists of residential, commercial andindustrial land uses. Some of the lands are developed, some are undeveloped, and some would like toredevelop or change use. Fully developed and re-developed, it would be a vibrant neighbour area at theentrance of Invermere.
