Description
Through this grant, the Town of Sylvan Lake will complete a Stormwater Data Collection & Model Update project to collect accurate and current data for the Geographic Information System (GIS) and update the existing stormwater model. To this end, the Town will survey approximately 770 storm manholes, 48.4 kilometres storm gravity mains, 26 culverts and 20 ditch cross-sections. Collected data will be transformed into GIS shapefiles to update the existing attributes. Finally, the project team will update the PCSWMM model as well as identify surcharge locations and flooding volumes. The Town will share the GIS database/model with developers.
