Description
Sturgeon County will conduct a comprehensive assessment of roadway conditions on a subset of the County's 1,776-kilometre roadway network (including base and sub-base soils analysis). The condition assessment will provide recommendations for future inspection, maintenance and/or replacement strategies for roadways of various types, classes and conditions. Empirical data produced by this analysis will maximize road infrastructure sustainability where the County can be more proactive in determining short and longer-term roadway network priorities for maintenance and capital replacement.Corporate “lessons learned” from this project will be applied to further road condition analyses and be integrated into overall County asset management strategies.
