All Assets Asset Management Plan

The Town of Stavely will develop an Asset Management Plan for all assets; facilities, roads, sanitary, water, parks and land improvements, illumination, and sidewalks. In the first stage of the planning process, the Town of Stavely will carry out a study to analyse the structure of existing corporate data related to infrastructure management for all asset classes. The Town will use this existing data to create performance and corresponding asset expenditure graphs. The effort will help determine the appropriate cost/benefit ratio with respect to whether collection of new data is required or not. In the second stage of the plan, the Town will derive asset performance measures and trends, and will identify corresponding treatment triggers and costs. In the final stage of the plan, the Town will integrate asset management processes by developing capital project sheets and 25-year performance and corresponding expenditure projections for all asset classes. By developing an Asset Management Plan, the Town will shift incrementally from historic to performance-based planning and will minimize uncertainty in the planning and decision-making processes.The administration will be in a more advantageous position to provide an environment for sustainable socioeconomic community growth with optimized infrastructure management.
