Description
The Town of Port Saunders is proposing an Asset Management project to be done in three phases. Phase 1 will be creating an asset register for fixed infrastructure assets and utilizing a Geographical Information System (GIS). Asset groups to be captured include water (approx. 12 kilometres of pipe and approx. 43 hydrants), sewer (approx. 11 kilometres of pipe and 134 manholes), storm (approx. 1 kilometre of pipe and 31 catch basins), road network (approx. 10 kilometres), as well at buildings and facilitates (approx. 18). In Phase 2, assets will be prioritized in terms of consequence and probability of failure and critical asset will be identified. Phase 3 will focus on the high priority assets (identified in Phase 2) and capital and operational strategies and policies will be developed.
