Description
This study will recommend innovative technologies to treat drinking water that meet future quality standards, whileminimizing the formation of harmful byproducts and reducing energy requirements. Once the study identifies appropriatetechnologies, including the ways to wash water filters, it will also analyze ways to adapt the water treatment plant thatcurrently serves the communities of Saint–Jean–Port Joli and Saint–Aubert. The municipalities will adopt the mostpromising technologies for a pilot project. The project's goal is to reduce the number and amounts of pollutantsdischarged into the Trois–Saumons River, and to cut energy consumption.
