Description
The Municipality of West Grey will contract an LAS Roads Assessment Service to diagnose its roadwaydefects efficiently and effectively using rapid-sensor inspection technology collecting pavement related datawhile traveling in traffic. Data will be collected in tight time synchronization using acoustic technology,millimeter-wave surface radar array, video cameras, and a ground penetrating radar array (GPR).West Grey will ensure that collected road asset data is put into a web-based GIS data management,processing and visualization environment designed for Pavement condition monitoring. The interface willprovide the Municipality with visual tools and methods to help its decision makers formulate optimumstrategies to maintain and improve their roadways over a given time period including repair suggestions,prioritization and long term planning.
