Description
The purpose of this project is to help the Town of St Paul's improve its asset management practice byproviding training to key employees and elected officials and develop an inventory of the municipality'smajor assets. The project will comprise two components:a) The Town will receive a training session for staff and elected officials on:- Getting started on Asset Management Planning- Preparing an inventory, reporting on the preliminary state of infrastructure- Communications and awareness of Asset Management.b) The Town will develop an inventory of its major assets including linear assets (roads, water distributionnetwork, sewer network, storm network) and structures (buildings). Linear assets will be captured and setup in a GIS system. The data will be imported in a spreadsheet based template so that Preliminary Stateof Infrastructure Reports are generated for each asset group showing life expectancy, condition andreplacement costs. Condition assessment will mainly be based on age. This project is the first step inimplementing asset management planning for the Town.
