Description
The Town of Port au Choix is proposing an Asset Management project to be done in three phases.Phase 1 will be creating an asset register for our fixed infrastructure assets and utilizing using a Geographical Information System (GIS). Asset groups to be captured are water distribution (approx. 13.5 kilometres of pipe and approx. 66 hydrants), wastewater collection (approx. 13 kilometres of pipe and approx. 170 manholes), stormwater collection (approx. 1.5 kilometres of pipe and approx. 15 catch basins), roads (approx. 11 kilometres and approx. 1 kilometre of walkway/trails), and municipal buildings (approx. 25 buildings, structures, and facilities).In Phase 2, assets will be prioritized in terms of consequence of failure and probability of failure and critical asset will be identified. Phase 3 will focus on the high priority assets (identified in Phase 2) and capital and operational strategies and policies will be developed.
