Description
This feasibility study will provide the Regional Municipality of Montmagny with the information it requires for making aninformed decision on how to manage the disposal of septic tank sludge within its boundaries, including ways to reclaimthat sludge. The study will provide information about the volume of sludge, the number of residences not hooked up tothe sewer system, and the distribution of septic tanks. It will assess existing municipal arrangements for emptying septictanks, management costs and the distances required to dispose of sludge. The study will also identify potential disposaland reclamation sites. The data will pinpoint the potential for agricultural reclamation, as well as the capacity of existingplants to further process treated sludge. The study will also provide a technical and economic analysis of potentialsolutions.*** Report is available in French only.
