Description
The Village of Norton will develop a Capital Asset Management Plan that will result in a detailed strategy
for the municipal assets owned by the Village of Norton, including roads, sidewalks, curb, sanitary sewer
pipes, storm pipes, wastewater buildings, municipal buildings, and municipal vehicles. The plan will
complete the following activities:
Draft and enact a governance statement and governance model;
Review the municipality's level of services provided;
Develop a detailed inventory of assets, including information on asset conditions;
Identify and evaluate the vulnerability of assets, and develop a risk management strategy.
In addition, the plan will deliver a high-level evaluation of climate hazards and impacts due to climate
change, evaluate the expected deterioration of the municipality's assets, examine the replacement cost
associated with each asset, and develop a plan for the expected capital financial investment required
over the next 50 years.
