Description
The Village of Westport will contract LAS Roads Assessment Service to diagnose its roadway (including sidewalks) defects efficiently and effectively using digital inspection technologies collecting data while traveling in traffic. The Village of Westport will ensure that the roadway condition assessment data is loaded into a web-based GIS data management system that provides visual tools and methods to improve decision-making for roadway management. The Recipient will use the sidewalk interface for hazard monitoring in accordance with Ontario Minimum Maintenance Standards for Municipal Highways Reg. 239/02 and compliance with Integrated Accessibility Standards Reg. 413/12.The Recipient will also inspect and map the sanitary and storm sewers, leading to (1) up-to-date condition assessment data for the sewer network, (2) identification of inflow and infiltration issues, and (3) the strengthening of the sewer network mapping (locations of sewers, manholes and services). The Village of Westport will also undertake mapping of surface drainage networks within the Village.
