Description
The Town of Provost will identify the source of all asset information within the corporation and record the information in one report; this will allow the identification of information gaps and needs. The Town will assess the condition of each of its assets and create deterioration models for each asset class, create treatment triggers, and develop cost models for asset replacement scenarios. Defining service levels for the Town’s assets will guide this work.The result will be an Asset Management Plan for each of the Town’s asset classes, which includes: Roads, Water, Sewer and Storm systems, Emergency and Bylaw Services, Buildings and Facilities, Parks and Recreation, the Airport, Public Health, etc.The Town will then be provided with a more holistic perspective on asset performance and corresponding expenditure; one which will benefit its effort in providing an optimal community environment for social and economic growth.
