Description
The Rural Municipality of Whitemouth will collect data to identify the current financial and operational condition of the assets within its community, including the water system, wastewater system, manholes, lift stations, stormwater system, roadway stystem, buildings, parks, and fleet. The Municipality will focus on the organization and utilization of existing financial and public works records to evaluate the risk of deterioration of its current assets. Following the review of the available information, the municipality will determine if further external sources of information may well be needed. The Municipality will develop formal policies and procedures pertaining to asset management following the appropriate evaluations of its assets. The Municipality will complete an Asset Management Plan that will allow staff to focus its budgetary considerations on the promotion of the maintenance and improvement of its community services
