Description
The Rural Municipality of Old Post No.43 will develop an asset management policy. An asset management plan will follow with the development of a performance measures, condition assessment, and completes a life-cycle analysis. This will deliver a long-range infrastructure sustainability plan that will determine optimal funding allocations and performance levels (i.e. Level of Service (LOS)). Then the municipality will develop a short-range detailed works program in line with meeting those targets. The major asset group is gravel roads. However, the analysis will also include bridges & bridge-file culverts, facilities, municipal utilities, and fleet. This approach is based on best practices recognized through the national and international research and scientific community.
