Description

The Town of Tillsonburg will complete Facilities Condition Assessments, with data collection and an Asset Management Plan for facilities, as well as organizational development, knowledge transfer and training.The project will focus on the following facilities:Annandale House: 30 Tillson Ave., Airport Terminal Building: 244411 Airport Rd., Cemetery Building: 191-193 Simcoe St.,Customer Service Centre: 10 Lisgar Ave., Public Works Building: 20 Spruce St.,Station Arts Centre: 41 Bridge St. E, Lake Lisgar Water Park Building: 8 Ross St., Clock Tower: Broadway And Bridge St. W, Elliott Fairbairn Centre: 31 Earle St., Fire Hall: 80 Concession St. E, Gibson House: 24 Concession St. E, Kinsmen Canteen: 20 Van St., Opp Station: 90 Concession St. E, Tillsonburg Community Centre: 45 Hardy Ave., Summer Place, Picnic Pavilion & Kinsmen Bandshell, Memorial Park. The Town will obtain building condition assessments for each corporately owned facility, to assist with future capital infrastructure planning. Improved data will assist in making more informed maintenance decisions. In order to determine the capital budget for each property, a detailed building condition assessment will help prioritize all present and anticipated expenditures which will support a new long-term capital replacement plan with funding models such as reserve funds, development charges and other financial instruments.New Building Condition Assessments will have direct input into the creation of annual facility monitoring KPI’s, best practices, a Preventative Maintenance Plan, and an adequately funded long term capital budget plan and reserve funds. They will also assist in completing annual comparisons on the condition of facilities.Reports will serve as a base for ongoing condition assessments, allowing improved monitoring to addressed maintenance needs in a cost-effective fashion. Final condition reports will serve to train department managers and staff in AM concepts to monitor and report on facility conditions.
