Description
Wellington County maintains an extensive road network throughout a land area of 2,610 km2. Detailedengineering specifications for the majority of County roadways is outdated and limits decision-makingcapacity. To more effectively manage roads, the County is in the process of implementing road-specificasset management software to optimize lifecycle and asset renewal-related decisions. Through thisinitiative, Wellington County will perform road inspections to ensure data is complete and accurate, locateroad features (guide rails and storm sewers), bringing in technical expertise to support inspections and theupload of data into the asset management software, and to train staff on proper use of asset managementsoftware.
