Description
The Rural Municipality of Gimli (RM) endeavours to make progress towards meeting the Province’s requirements for asset management planning. The RM will focus on the following asset classes: the roads network; bridges and culverts; drinking water; sanitary wastewater; and buildings.The RM will create an asset inventory, identify assets’ location, and assess the assets’ condition for each of the asset classes. The RM will use that information to identify infrastructure gaps, gaps in levels of service and develop the financial requirements for ongoing service delivery (budgets). Together this information will constitute our asset management plans (AMP) for each asset class.The RM will compile all information collected through this project in one central system. The RM will train its personnel on basic asset management (AM) principles required to maintain the AMP.
