The Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) will improve its asset management processes by adding natural assets into the asset inventory, developing a roadmap for expanding natural asset inventory, and understanding risk to these assets, including from climate change. The RMOW will also integrate the asset replacement funding targets from the Asset Management Plan into a long-term financial model to support Asset Management decisions for all asset classes. The goal of the long-term financial model is to help the RMOW understand the risk of its current funding gap and develop a long-term financial strategy for bridging the asset funding gap. The RMOW will develop and document financial planning policies and principles for asset replacement planning into an AM policy and develop a framework for prioritizing capital projects. The RMOW will develop a process and presentation template for updating the asset management plan and long-term financial model for annual reporting purposes.
