Description
The purpose of the project is to contract a qualified structural/civil consulting firm to carry-out high-levelbuilding condition assessment surveys on one-hundred and sixty-nine (169) of the Corporation’s buildingstructures.Building condition assessments are required as part of the City’s ongoing asset management initiative.These assessments will assist the Corporation in identifying the immediate and future needs of City-ownedbuilding structures as well as provide the City with specific building condition ratings to be used in the City'sCorporate Asset Management Plan. The estimation of building demolition and replacement costs areincluded in the scope of the project as a provisional item to be used pending the availability of funding.Demolition and replacement costs are a key component in the asset management process as they areessential for accurately defining the lifecycle costs associated with the City's building structures.
