Description

Building on the success of the recent WaterWolf District Planning Commission "group learning" asset management project, a number of WaterWolf member communities have committed to working together on a number of activities that will improve asset management capacity in each individual community and collectively within the region. The Village of Loreburn will digitize its current asset information into a GIS tool and collect field data on assets related to roads, water, and sewer. Village employees will also undergo training on asset management integration and implementation. The Village will also purchase Munisoft Pubworks 3150 software; an asset management solution providing a standardized format for recording asset information, updating the registry and the ability to depreciate assets and provide custom reports. The software will handle all assets, allocate costs, track costs, manage equipment and generally help with the accessing of the Village information from its original spreadsheet in a timely and more functional manner.
