Description
The City of Red Deer will develop a comprehensive Corporate Asset Management Framework and implementation plan for the organization, identifying the city's asset management vision, goals, principles, and desired outcomes. The City of Red Deer will use the information garnered to promote improvement in corporate asset management practices, including adopting new asset management policy, initiating asset management governance structure and implementing new accountability measures. This project will influence management practices in all asset classes including roadways, water, wastewater, treatment plants, civic facilities, recreational facilities, parks, distribution and transmission assets. The deliverable asset management framework will include a recommended governance structure for asset management including roles and responsibilities and connection between corporate and departmental roles. The municipality will achieve a structured plan that will articulate these roles and responsibilities for each department to manage their assets.
