Description

The Regional District of Central Kootenay will develop an integrated engineering and planning solution to upgrade therefrigeration and heating plant at the Creston and District Recreation Complex (pool and gym). The facility is old and inneed of upgrades as systems fail. The study would help the Municipality develop a plan to replace the failing refrigerationand heating systems with new systems that will be energy efficient for 10 to 20 years. It will identify those systems thatcan be changed easily and provide immediate payback through decreased energy expenditures. This innovative solutionwould integrate short-term changes with long-term changes to the failed or failing systems over a period of 5 to 10 yearsto allow for a continued gradual upgrade.
