Description

The City of Calgary will collaborate with Ryerson Institute for Infrastructure Innovation (RIII) to develop a risk-informed asset management planning process for the City's pedestrian network, which includes sidewalks and pathways. Stochastic models are developed to model the risk of asset failure and project investment needs. These models will provide accurate assessment and prediction of the physical conditions of sidewalks and pathways for making evidence-based, risk-informed decisions on pedestrian network asset management. This methodology will be applied to other asset classes within the organization where applicable.
