Description

The City of Selkirk will complete two major activities:1. Update of all existing Capital Asset Management Program (CAMP) policies, procedures and supporting tools. The update will refine the existing policies to reflect evolving needs of the community, lessons learned through implementation this far, and will be expanded to include the Parks and Recreation(P&R) service area. This will include the addition of P&R assets into the registry, as well as the updating to the Registry, Evaluation, Life-cycle Management, Levels of Service and Risk Policies, procedures and supporting tools to reflect the new service area. The inclusion of this service area will maintain the climate lens that was applied in the development of all service areas currently included. This will also begin to address some of the tactics identified in the City's Climate Change Adaptation Strategy.2. Develop of a multi-tier training program for all City of Selkirk Staff. This training program will build asset management awareness throughout the organization as a whole and ensure all staff members understand their roles and responsibilities in contributing to a successful CAMP.
