Description

The Rural Municipality of Grahamdale will develop an Asset Management (AM) Policy, an AM Strategy, and AM Plan, that will provide data on the key assets owned by the R.M. of Grahamdale. As part of the above, the RM of Grahamdale will create an asset registry listing each asset and its present condition forthe following asset classes: roadways, solid waste disposal sites, culverts, buildings and machinery.The RM of Grahamdale will provide asset management training to a cross functional team that will include members of Council, managers and administrative personnel.The RM of Grahamdale will ensure the asset management plan (AMP) considers total life-cycle cost of the assets and will include levels of service for each asset. The RM will also include risk analysis forthose risks that could impact the delivery of the services it provides to its residents. The RM will also integrate its financial plans to the needs identified by the AMP.The AM strategy will incorporate a roadmap to the future improvement of the asset management practices and systems it implements as a result of this project.Going forward, the RM will better track our assets as well as create a clearer picture of our financial position and upcoming responsibilities. This information will guide financial decisions longer term, leading to a much more financially secure organization.
