Description
The Municipality of Roblin will collect data collection to improve our long-term asset management planning capacity. The Municipality will conduct enhanced data collection, prepare an asset replacement forecast, and develop an Asset Management Policy, 20-year Asset Management Investment Plan, and an implementation strategy. The Municipality will focus on the organization and utilization of existing financial and public works records to evaluate the risk, level of service and useful life of assets. The Municipality will then develop formal policies pertaining to asset management following the appropriate evaluations of its assets. The Municipality will develop it’s first Asset Management Strategy that will allow it to make more informed budgetary considerations on the renewal of existing assets, develop enhanced maintenance practices and the general improvement of service delivery. Municipal staff and Council will directly be involved in the plan development process. This will provide an opportunity for continued learning and capacity building for all members of the organization.
