Description
The Township of Whitewater Region will collect infrastructure data and develop an asset managementpolicy that will outline its commitment to asset management practices, provide standards for the collectionand assessment of data, and commit to meeting legislative requirements. This will be further supported byincluding Asset Management responsibility into various job descriptions. The job descriptions areanticipated to include most members of the Senior Management Team (i.e. Department Heads), as well asSupervisors within the municipality.In order to meet the Phase 1 requirements under proposed Bill 6 Regulation, the Region will collect datafor its core infrastructure including: paved and unpaved roads; culverts; rural stormwater systems; and threewater treatment systems (Cobden, Beachburg, Haley town site).The Region will provide training on the new asset management responsibilities identified under the revisedjob descriptions.
