Description
The Town will complete its inventory of stormwater assets (~75 km, 1200+ manholes, etc.) and add anymissing attribute data for that asset class (pipe size, class, material, location, discharge points, andcondition assessment). With this addition to the Town’s asset data for the water system, the sanitarysystem, its roads/curbs/sidewalk data, the Town will be able to plan for future maintenance and/orexpansion of the network.The Town will also improve on the other components of an AM plan such as Level of Service, (clearlydefining the programs and objectives for Town service delivery), Climate Change, (adopting a plan wherebyall future projects are looked at through a lens of climate change effects and larger projects are subjectedto a formal PIEVC process) and Governance/ Financial forecasting (clearly defining an asset managementpolicy statement for adoption by Council which outlines commitment to managing existing assets andincluding planning for future maintenance in any/all decisions to build/acquire new assets).
