Description
The District of Sicamous will conduct a Risk Assessment of the Sicamous storm network, build Financial Awareness and develop a 3- to 5-Year Roadmap. The District also will implement an Asset Management platform (AssetFinda) and an Operational Platform (ArcGIS) both of which are owned by Sicamous.Workflow Improvements and staff training will be conducted. All District owned assets will be impacted by this project work including water, wastewater, stormwater, road, buildings and fleet assets. The District will take key next steps to build staff capacity and help provide information that will enable the prioritization of capital investments. The District will: • Develop a better understanding of key District owned stormwater infrastructure and incorporate the concept of risk management into the District’s decision making; • Developing a better understanding of financial investment needs to help address the asset management funding gap; • Creating a roadmap to help plan the District’s next steps in asset management for the following 3 to 5-year period; • Refine and improve the information and application of our asset management platforms to help leverage these systems for asset investment tracking and decision making.
