Description
The Town of Langham will complete its asset inventory, map all assets within GIS and incorporate pertinent attribute data in the inventory database, such as: age (installation date), condition, useful life, remaining life, replacement cost, residual value, function, capacity, and operating/maintenance costs. The asset classes covered by the project are: sanitary line, waterline, manholes, valves, machinery, vehicles and equipment, buildings and land improvements.The Town will assess the condition of its buildings asset class (including all components), its equipment, machinery and vehicles, water and sewer pipes. The Town will document operation and maintenance costs of each of its asset classes, and establish levels of service targets for each of its asset classes. Based on the existing asset management policy, the Town will draft an asset management strategy and a risk management plan. The Town will follow its strategy and use the data collected to create an asset management plan that will form the basis for its long term financial plan that will inform its infrastructure investment decisions. The Town will be working collaboratively with MuniSight to accomplish this work.
