Description
The City of Regina will conduct an engineering feasibility study to examine the generation of green hydroelectric powerusing a turbine from the sanitary sewage outfall at the municipal sewage treatment plant. The feasibility study willdetermine the size of the hydroelectric plant; estimate preliminary capital costs, as well as, operating and maintenancecosts, to determine the payback period; conduct an economic evaluation using applicable power sale prices; and,determine whether the power should be sold to the provincial utility or used at the sewage treatment plant.
