Description

The City of Vancouver is redeveloping 36 hectares of former industrial land on the southeast shore of False Creek. Citycouncil has directed that the development be a model sustainable community. The study will make recommendations tobuild a sustainable transportation network in the community. Measures such as car sharing, ride sharing, transitincentives, shuttle bus services, education and awareness programs, expansion of the passenger ferry service acrossFalse Creek, and parking demand management will be evaluated. Community benefits include improved air quality, lessspace for roads and parking, more pedestrian and cyclist friendly spaces, increased modal choice, less travel time, andimproved health of residents.
