Asset Management Program Development - Phase 3: Financial Strategy and Asset Management Plan Development

As part of Phase 3 of a 3-year Asset Management program, Lethbridge County will develop an Asset Management program. This phase will be carried out with four key deliverables will be submitted as part of this project as follows:1. Development of Financial Strategies: The development of a comprehensive financial plan is critical to identify the financial resources required for sustainable asset management based on existing asset management inventories, desired level of service and projected growth requirements.2. Development of Comprehensive Asset Management Plan: The resulting comprehensive Asset Management Plan will continue to meet provincial guidelines but will go beyond minimum requirements to become a document that officials, staff and residents can use to guide their decision-making and develop an educated perspective.3. Data Work: Development of Coordinated ID's for underground infrastructure. This process links all assets within a right of way. Completion of this task will create smarter data and allow for much more efficient and accurate planning and reporting.4. Training and Organizational Development: Advanced, role specific training will be delivered to staff n key positions. Basic AM training will be delivered to all staff. This training will include the adoption of a new asset management system. This will require both internal and external resources to implement this business change successfully.
