Capital Asset Management Plan Village of Sussex Corner

The Village of Sussex Corner will develop a Capital Asset Management Plan for core assets. The coreassets to be included in this plan are transportation services (roads, sidewalks and curbs) andenvironmental health services (water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer pipes and infrastructure). Based onthese core assets, the Village will produce a draft governance policy, which will contain AssetManagement policies, procedures, and the roles and responsibilities of Village staff to create afunctioning Asset Management system. The Village of Sussex Corner will: Review the services provided to Village residents and develop a detail inventory of assets. Theassets that will be included in this inventory are core assets (as mentioned above), municipalbuildings, municipal land, and municipal vehicles; Conduct a condition assessment on the core assets using a five-point condition rating systemintegrated within pre-populated deterioration curves, using specific asset attributes, such as assetage, manufacturer information and expected useful life;Identify the potential risks to core assets and assess the potential impacts caused by climatechange.In addition, the Village of Sussex will analyze the replacement costs associated with each asset anddevelop a plan for the expected capital financial investment required over the next 50 years.
