Description
The Town of Steady Brook will prepare a complete inventory of the municipality's major assets (waterdistribution network, sewer network, storm water network and roads network, as well as major municipalownedbuildings and structures) and capture that information in electronic format (GIS and spreadsheet).The Town will carry out condition assessments for water, sewer and storm mainly based on age. Visualcondition assessments will be undertaken for roads and buildings/structures, including water treatmentplant, town hall, fire hall, and heritage building. The data will be imported into a spreadsheet-based templateso that Preliminary State of Infrastructure Reports (SOIR) will be generated for each asset group showinglife expectancy, condition, and replacement costs. This project is the first step in implementing assetmanagement planning for the Town.
