Description
The Capital Regional District (CRD) will develop a guide and tool that support the CRD’s implementation of standard procedures/templates for the Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) that are conducted throughout the asset’s life-cycle. The LCA Guide and Tool will be used by staff to evaluate and make decisions with transparency and consideration of the CRD’s Board priorities. LCAs will be used to evaluate procurement submissions, business case scenarios, and asset replacement plans. Once templates are developed, training sessions will be provided to staff. The project will outline what data will be collected to assist in LCA as well as identify key performance indicators to report on the effectives of our initiatives. This project will lead to transparency and accountability of where and how the CRD places financial investments for capital planning.
