Description
The Rural Municipality of Ste Anne, Manitoba will embark on an asset management initiative that will build off previous data collection initiatives to improve our long-term asset management planning capacity. The scope of this project includes retaining a consultant to conduct enhanced data collection, prepare an asset replacement forecast, and develop an Asset Management Policy, 20-Year Asset Management Investment Plan, and an Implementation Strategy.The RM will focus on the organization and utilization of existing linear asset data and financial and Public Works records to evaluate the risk, Level of Service and useful life of assets. The RM will then develop formal policies and procedures pertaining to asset management following the appropriate evaluations of its assets. The RM will develop an Implementation Strategy that will allow it to make more informed budgetary considerations on the renewal of existing assets, develop enhanced maintenance practices and the general improvement of service delivery. This project will involve RM staff and Council directly in the plan development process. This will provide an opportunity for continued learning and capacity building for all members of the organization.
