Description
The Town of Shelburne will complete an inventory and condition assessment of the town's buildings(including code and life safety compliance) and recreational facilities. Once the assessment work iscompleted, the Town determine life expectancy, condition and replacement costs of the buildings/facilitiesas well as the linear assets (already captured as part of a Province of Nova Scotia pilot project). The datawill be imported in a spreadsheet-based template and Preliminary State of Infrastructure Reports will begenerated for each asset group. The asset management spreadsheet will allow the Town to generatevarious scenarios and assess their impacts on the Town’s asset management capacity.In addition, a community-based multi-stakeholder committee will be established to participate in capacitybuildingworkshops. They will develop a Terms of Reference and establish their role in educating andengaging residents on the challenges and opportunities of long-term sustainable service delivery.
