Description
The Town of Lockeport will complete an inventory and condition assessment of the town's buildings(including code and life safety compliance) and recreational facilities using a spreadsheet based templatewhich is compatible with the Provincial standard developed under the data collection pilot project.Subsequently, the Town will assess the life expectancy, condition and replacement costs of thebuildings/facilities as well as the linear assets (already captured as part of a Province of Nova Scotia pilotproject). The Town will then import all of the captured data into a spreadsheet based template andPreliminary State of Infrastructure Reports will be generated for each asset group. Deliverables willinclude a spreadsheet that can be refined and capable of generating various scenarios.In addition, Council and staff will participate in asset management workshops to improve understanding ofthe importance of asset management and the challenges and opportunities of long-term sustainableservice delivery.
