Description
The City of Kimberley will implement asset management software and centralize asset data. The City has invested considerable time and effort into advancing its Asset Management (AM) practices. A significant gap was recently exposed is its primary AM software, Geographic Information System (GIS). The City's GIS is the backbone of its AM program, used to drive Asset Management Investment Profile (AMIP), risk assessments, integrated capital plans, and asset maintenance. The current system is not adequate for the City's needs and recently experienced failure, data loss, and security issues. This project will install a robust, resilient GIS platform to bolster the AM program. Data from the legacy system will be migrated and redeployed in a modern, user-friendly, secure environment for staff and public to access.
