            Description
As a member of Partners for Climate Protection (PCP), the Town of Caledon has committed to reducing its CO2emissions. This study has two components. First, it will create a comprehensive and integrated greenhouse gas (GHG)reduction strategy for the Town of Caledon; second, engineering students will be hired to conduct an energy audit, referred to as Kill-A-Watt, of one municipal facility and several private homes. The action plan is likely to result inimproved current practices and the adoption of technologies that reduce GHG emissions. Results from the audit will bereported in the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Strategy. An energy conservation guide and an energy consumption meter(Kill-A-Watt device) will be made available at the local library to help members of the community reduce their electricityconsumption. Members of the community will be actively involved in establishing an emissions reduction target throughthe cool Caledon taskforce and in the creation of a GHG reduction strategy.
