Description
The objective of this zero carbon retrofit is to reduce GHG emissions by at least 80% with energy efficiency and renewables, and the less than a remaining 20% with carbon offsets. The proposed GHG reduction measures include building control optimization, heat recovery, HVAC upgrades, ground source heat loop, overhauling the ice rink chiller, renovating the systems to CO2 chiller systems from the original ammonia systems, and electrifying all gas equipment such as boilers and ice resurfacer.
