Description
The municipality has been proactive in building a solid foundation to house current asset data and to invest in infrastructure to house and analyze future asset data. The municipality has fully implemented a GIS system that houses current asset data in one central database. Through this project the municipality seeks to build on this infrastructure by establishing a comprehensive Asset Management Plan, drafting a comprehensive Asset Management Policy, as well as buildling a framework to guide the municipality when progressing with the Asset Management System. The focus within the Asset Management Plan will be to analyze the current level of service, replacement costs, and risk, specifically in relation to culvert, bridge, sign, water valve, and water line data. The Asset Management Policy will focus on policies, procedures, governance, roles, and responsibilities.The municipality also seeks to undergo training on asset management data collection and asset data analysis.
